Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wasn’t executed, but these zombie claims won’t die

If Your Time is short

An image of what appears to be a woman lying on her back, face up and eyes closed, covered in a sheet up to her neck, has been shared online as evidence that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was executed.

"Who does that look like?" someone in a Sept. 9 Facebook video asks. "Who does that look like? Who is that? Take a guess. Oh wait, oh hold on."

A portrait of Clinton then appears below a list of criminal charges, including treason and seditious conspiracy.

When the video cuts back to the image of the woman lying down, the person in the video points to something next to the woman and says, "What’s that up there?"

Then, the words "lethal injection medical table" appear.

Reverse image searches turned up no definitive source, nor any credible evidence that the post shows Clinton.

What we know for sure: It doesn’t show Clinton before or after an execution.

That’s because she’s still alive.

The image has been online and described as showing Clinton since at least April.

Since then, and since the Sept. 9 post, she has appeared in public at the Clinton Global Initiative 2023 meeting in New York City, on MSNBC, and at Columbia University, where she’s lecturing this semester
