President Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl on Feb. 9. He watched from a suite at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome, where the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
But a purported photo of someone giving Trump the bird there is old.
"Superbowl picture of the century," a Feb. 9 Instagram post said, sharing an image of someone wearing a red-and-yellow shirt raising two middle fingers at Trump, who waves.

The image has been online since September 2023, when Trump, then a front-runner in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, attended an Iowa-versusIowa State college football game.
Trump watched that game from a private suite, and The New York Times reported that "some attendees gave him the middle finger from the stands while he looked on from the glass-paneled box from which he watched the game."
USA Today said: "Social media lit up with videos of the boos and catcalls that greeted Trump during his visit to Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, Iowa, including a photo that quickly gained traction of an Iowa State fan flipping off the former president with his middle fingers."
Iowa State’s colors, cardinal and gold, are similar to the Kansas City Chiefs’ colors.
We rate claims this photo shows someone giving Trump the finger False.
