Relations are tense pretty much everywhere in the world, so it’s almost a given that the Sunday shows plan to spotlight a few of the shakiest relationships, including between Russia and the United States, Israel and Palestine, and American opponents and activists of gun rights following a comprehensive new Georgia law.
CBS’ Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer will talk to Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, about the possibility of more U.S. sanctions for Russia. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will also talk about pulling out of peace talks with Palestine after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas formed a unity government with Hamas, which Israel and the United States consider a terrorist group.
Netanyahu will also appear on CNN's State of the Union.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., will talk about her new book A Fighting Chance (and, we know this is a total leap, probably also whether she will run for president) on ABC’s This Week. The show will also feature Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson in his first network interview.
Former Britain Prime Minister Tony Blair goes one-on-one with David Gregory on NBC’s Meet the Press. NBC says they will talk about Russia, Crimea, and radical Islam and the Middle East, a subject he warned about in a speech Wednesday.

Fox News Sunday will feature, in its phrasing, the show’s fourth interview with a potential 2016 presidential candidate this year. Up this time is Gov. Mike Pence, R-Ind., who is slated to speak at the NRA convention in Indianapolis this weekend. (The other interviews were Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wisc., and Gov. John Kasich, R-Ohio.)
Speaking of guns, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum will discuss Georgia’s comprehensive new gun law on Face the Nation. The law, among other things, expands the number of places where licensed gun owners can bring their firearms.
The Supreme Court ruling that upheld Michigan’s ban on using affirmative action in college admissions will also get time on Fox, with XIV CEO Jennifer Gratz, whose 1995 rejection from the University of Michigan sparked the case, and civil rights attorney Shanta Driver, who argued for the law to be overturned.
