Did Trump say ‘I don’t poop myself’ on Truth Social? No, that came from a satire post
If Your Time is short

The image originated from a satirical post. Donald Trump made no such remarks.
Former president Donald Trump’s critics frequently question his mental capacity and ability to hold the nation’s highest political position. Now, he is facing rumors about his bowel control.
In an Oct. 10 Pittsburgh rally, former President Barack Obama laughed at a joke suggesting Trump wore adult diapers.
One social media post claims Trump has decided to address those claims. An image that looks like a screenshot of a Truth Social post by Trump in all caps reads, "The fake news is sick! Now they’re claiming I have ‘incontinence’ issues—total lies!! I don’t poop myself, never have, never will! This is just more desperate attacks and election interference! Absolutely crossing a red line!!!"
"Well, that confirms it folks!" read an Oct. 20 Threads post that shared the image.

Trump made no such post; it originated from satire. PolitiFact did not find such a statement on Trump’s Truth Social page. PolitiFact searched Trump’s Truth, a public archive of Trump’s Truth Social posts, using keywords including "incontinence" and "poop." There were no recorded posts with the claim’s text.
A reverse-image search of the supposed screenshot led to an Oct. 12 post by X user AgentSelf99B (now FraudWatch89), who commented "Satire" in the same thread. AgentSelf99B uploaded the image while reposting content by The Halfway Post, which says on its bio that it publishes "halfway true comedy and satire."

The X user explained the "satirical content" in an Oct. 13 X post, saying it "was an intentional demonstration of a much bigger problem."
The user said the intention of the satirical repost was to demonstrate that "we need to be more responsible in how we evaluate information. Before blindly believing and sharing something, we need to check ourselves and our biases."
PolitiFact also debunked a claim that journalist Bob Woodward revealed on X that Trump wears adult diapers.
Trump didn’t post about incontinence rumors on Truth Social. We rate that claim False.
