No, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not been arrested in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs case
If Your Time is short
-
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not been arrested, nor was their home raided by federal authorities in the Sean "Diddy" Combs sex trafficking case.
-
We traced a Threads post making that claim to a YouTube page that has a disclaimer saying its videos "sometimes contain information not to be considered as the truth."
Since music star and executive Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested and charged in a federal sex trafficking case, some social media users have said without evidence that other celebrities were also involved.
One social media post baselessly claimed the musical power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z were arrested because of ties with Combs.
"Feds RAID Jay Z & Beyonce Mansion After Diddy LINKS," an Oct. 24 Threads post said.
The Threads post included a composite image of police outside a home, an image of what looked like the couple being led in handcuffs by police and a mugshot of Combs. The image of the couple appeared doctored — low-quality images of hands appear to hold onto Beyoncé’s arms, and Beyoncé’s face bears only faint resemblance to the actual star.

British broadcaster Piers Morgan apologized on air Oct. 8 after a guest said in an earlier interview without evidence that the power couple were implicated in the sex trafficking scheme.
A search of Google and the Nexis news database shows no credible reports about Beyoncé and Jay-Z being arrested or having their mansion raided because of connections to Combs. Federal authorities have announced no other arrests in Combs’ case.

The Threads post linked to an Oct. 20 article on a WordPress website that made its inaugural post Oct. 15. The site contains a mix of gaming articles, articles with headlines in Spanish and celebrity news with dubious headlines, including ones that tied other celebrities to Combs.
The article about Beyoncé and Jay-Z included the same composite image as the Threads post and a headline with the same language: "Feds RAID Jay Z & Beyoncé Mansion After Diddy LINKS." It listed "Jolie Angela" as its author.

We typed the headline in a Google search and did a reverse-image search of the composite image. Both searches led us to a YouTube page with the account name "The Stardom Scoop."
The Stardom Scoop’s YouTube page says it covers celebrity news but includes a disclaimer that says, "Videos sometimes contain information not to be considered as the truth, rather theories, rumors and information found on the internet."
An Oct. 1 Stardom Scoop video shows the same headline and thumbnail image from the Threads post.
A Threads post claimed that Beyoncé and Jay-Z were arrested after federal officials raided their mansion because of ties to Combs. We found no evidence that happened and the post was traced to a YouTube page that says its posts "sometimes contain information" that’s untrue.
We rate the claim False.
