Krishnan Anantharaman is a deputy editor at PolitiFact. Before coming to PolitiFact, he was an editor at Automotive News, where he shared the 2015 Grand Neal Award for coverage of General Motors’ ignition switch recall crisis and helped forge a partnership with Michigan State University to sustain scholastic journalism in Detroit. He spent 22 years as a news and feature editor at The Wall Street Journal, including 13 as managing editor of the Journal’s Classroom Edition for high school students. He has a journalism degree from Northwestern and a master’s in strategic communication from Michigan State. Krishnan is based in Detroit.
