Pam Bondi, a former Hillsborough County prosecutor, was elected Floriday Attorney General on Nov. 2, 2010, and reelected Nov. 4, 2014. After leaving office, she joined Ballard Partners lobbying firm in Washington D.C. In November 2024, President-elect Donald Trump nominated Bondi to to serve as attorney general after his original pick, former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., withdrew from consideration.
